How does your mobile studio work for office headshots?
I bring everything needed directly to your San Francisco office — professional studio lights, backdrops, and a live monitor for instant review. I can set up in a conference room, lobby, or any suitable space and create a full professional studio environment on-site.
Can you provide headshots during a company event, conference or summit?
Yes. I specialize in capturing events of all sizes and often run a headshot station for attendees at the same time. Take a look at my corporate event photography services.
How much space do you need for an in-office studio setup?
A minimum of 20 × 20 feet is ideal for the full mobile studio setup. That allows room for the backdrop, lighting equipment, and comfortable positioning. Conference rooms, offices, and common areas all work. That said, I’ve adapted successfully in very tight spaces, including dental offices, labs, and small rooms.
How long does it take to photograph an entire team?
I typically photograph 10 people per hour, spending about 5 minutes with each person. For larger teams, half-day or full-day sessions can be scheduled. Setup and breakdown take approximately 30 minutes each.
Do you provide the live monitor for employee review?
Yes. The live monitor setup allows each employee to see their shots immediately and make adjustments if needed. This ensures everyone is comfortable with their images and reduces anxiety during the session.
How many photos does each employee receive?
Each team member typically receives 10–20 proofs. From that set, I edit and retouch one to three favorites per individual.
Can you photograph our executive team separately?
Absolutely — this is a common request. I often schedule executive sessions with additional time and styling options, recognizing that C-suite portraits may require more variety for speaking engagements, board materials, and high-level marketing use.
What’s included in your corporate headshot packages?
Corporate packages include mobile studio setup, professional lighting, backdrop options, live monitor review, professional editing and retouching, and high-resolution digital delivery. I can also deliver each individual their own set of proofs before they leave the session — a private way to get the photos directly to each person by email, instantly.
What should we wear?
Solid colors in navy, charcoal, black, white, or deeper tones like emerald, burgundy, or royal blue that complement your skin tone. Well-fitted blazers, collared shirts, and classic necklines photograph best. Simple jewelry and light makeup enhance a professional appearance without distraction. For team consistency, establish a general dress code beforehand — business formal, business casual, or smart casual — and suggest two or three color families that reflect your company culture and industry standards.
Avoid busy patterns, logos, outerwear such as puffer vests and jackets, and overly bright colors like neon that become distracting under studio lighting. Skip large statement jewelry, sleeveless tops, and anything too casual for your professional role. I’m happy to provide specific wardrobe guidelines based on your company’s needs and industry when we schedule your session.
Do you help with posing and people who are uncomfortable on camera?
Yes. I believe this is what sets me apart from so many talented headshot photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area. My previous profession as a paramedic required that I work with all types of people in all types of stressful situations. What I’ve learned across both professions is that most people feel nervous in strange environments — whether that’s the back of an ambulance or having their photo taken.
I always have a short conversation with each individual, get to know a few things about them, and start to riff off of that, almost like improv, getting their mind off the camera and away from the fear of judgment. It’s those in-between moments where natural portraits get captured.
I specialize in making the experience comfortable and natural. I provide gentle direction on posture, hand placement, and facial expressions while using the live monitor so you can see exactly how you look in real time. That immediate feedback builds confidence and allows for quick adjustments.
