Before the days of working as a full-time photographer, I was a San Francisco city paramedic from 2013 to 2020. That position put me in a unique place, closer than press access would allow, to authentically document San Francisco’s tireless EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, and first responders behind the scenes.
No images in this portfolio were taken while I was assigned to patient care. All photography was conducted during dedicated documentation assignments when I was specifically tasked with capturing crews working in the field.
All photographs presented in this gallery are HIPAA compliant and do not reveal any personal patient information or data.
